Frequently Asked Questions

Will we have to pay money up front ?
No, apart from an initial holding deposit on larger jobs, all payments are retrospective to the work stages.
How long will my works take ?
On larger projects we will issue a full program of works which will be linked to the stage payments required. Although there are often uncertainties with building work (not to mention the English weather!), a target completion date will be set prior to commencement.
How much will the work site affect the surrounding areas?
We have well organised building sites and work areas, constantly clearing down and tidying during & after the work. Building work can be messy, but we always seek to minimise disruption.
Do you have any kind of work guarantee in place?
For most works we warranty & look after your job for a minimum of one year from completion, returning to adjust or replace any faults as necessary. Certain goods or elements will have a much longer individual guarantee (for example windows or GRP roofing). New homes carry a full NHBC 10 year guarantee. See full terms & conditions.
What if I change my mind about something during the works ?
Even with well planned projects some change is enevitable! We have a tried & tested system of recording changes, & will issue written notices of extras or omissions. The contract sum will be altered accordingly & clients informed of the cost ajustment as works progress.
How do I ensure my wishes gets through to the workers on my job ?
Every job has a dedicated site manager, meetings will be held regularly to ensure good communication is upheld.
How many years experience do you have?
We have over 40 years experience of general building; renovations; extensions; landscaping; new homes & design.
